01.07.2008 On the occasion of the sanctions of Croatian Football Association (HNS) because of the racist and xenophobic incidents involving some Croatian fans during the recently completed European Championship, the Centre for Peace Studies (CMS) said that HNS should do more, since it has the power and responsibility for such an action.

25.06.2008 A group of gay internet users noted that the Croatian internet space lacks a common starting point for homosexual men and women, bisexual, trans-gender and queer persons to get information and to get active, so they decided to launch a new internet portal to mark the Pride Week in Zagreb.

23.06.2008 Zelena Akcija (Green Action) environmental organization reacted to the announced cooperation of Cardinal Bozanić and Mayor Milan Bandic, on five different projects. Zelena Akcija focused on two of the projects – plans to build 2,500 apartments in developments in Strug on Žitnjak and the proposed Museum of Sacral Art in Nova Vesa.
