The U.S. nongovernmental organizations Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), financed by USAID and implementing the Civil Society Advancement Initaitive Programme (CSAI), opened a competition, on September 17, for funding of projects submitted by experienced CSOs as support for their public advocacy activities in Serbia. The Deadline for submission of proposals expires on October 24, at 14:00 hours.

The United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) has identified gender responsive budgets (GRB) as a key tool for advancing gender equality and women’s rights. To support implementation of the NAP for Gender Equality and in the context of its regional GRB Programme, UNIFEM CEE will accept concept notes related to activities that use a gender responsive budgeting approach in Serbia.

The Civil Society Advocacy Initiative (CSAI) opened the competition for support to advocacy activities of civil society organizations in Serbia. The projects should promote civil society and strengthening of CSOs in Serbia, through advocacy, support for civic activism and legal reforms. Majority of approved grants shall amount between 50,000 and 75,000 US Dollars per year. Deadline for Application expires on February 5, 2007.
