19.01.2004 At one of the panels organized today at World Social Forum, by Latin American Information Agency (ALAI) and other networks, called “Diverse Alternatives for Global Changes” among other participants were Sylvia Borren, Executive Director of the NOVIB, the Duch Oxfam and feminist/lesbian movement activist, Diane Matte, (Canada) from World March of Women organization, Medha Patakar, famous Indian human rights activist.

16.01.2004 Mumbai, January 16 – World Social Forum (WSF) has officially started today in Mumbai, gathereing people from all over the world with a common vision that different world is possible. Acording to WSF organisers more then 80 000 people from approxiimately 2,666 organizations have registered from 132 countries.

WSF 2004 in Mumbai, India
15.01.2004 Mumbai, January 15 - Just one day has left to the beginning of the IV World Social Forum (WSF). For the first time, the WSF won't be held in Brazil, but in India. The proposal to hold this year's Form out of Brasil was made at the 2002 WSF. The change illustrates the need to take the processes of the WSF to the regions of Asia and Africa, where over two thirds of the world's population live.
