15.04.2008 The much-debated and disputed open document standard Office Open XML (OOXML) has been approved by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The result of the voting showed 24 supporting votes by participating national standards bodies allowed to vote, known as “p-members,” versus eight opposing votes.

20.06.2007 Macedonia joins the group of over 30 countries in the world with localized Creative Commons licenses. At the event organized yesterday, June 19, 2007, at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Skopje, the Metamorphosis Foundation presented the Macedonian CC licenses. Macedonia has localized the 2.5 version of CC, and Metamorphosis hopes that soon enough it will move to the latest version of Creative Commons.

14.09.2006 The World Intellectual Property Rights (WIPO), the permanent UN body on copyrights and associated rights, currently discusses the Draft Broadcasting Treaty. The Treaty proposes new and serious restriction on the rights of the authors of broadcast works and free exchange of contents over the internet, especially for podcasters and podcasting organizations.
