Fourth Short Feature Film Festival Mostar 2005

The main goal of the festival is to combine the social and cultural engagement on regional and local levels, through the form of short feature films as a specific type of artistic expression.

The Festival is organized under the auspices of a project which aims to contribute to the cultural development of Mostar (through long-term quality events); offer the local audience a diverse culture through exchange and meetings of people from all parts of former Yugoslavia and Europe; strengthen youth culture in the region through support for young authors, in terms of production and distribution of their works; raise public and institutional awareness on important social issues; and promote the short film as a genre that offers possibility for innovation in production, technique, form, ideas and expression of emotions.

The festival has four sections:

regional competition programme
Presentation of works from European film academies and schools
Retrospective of other European short film festivals, national film archives and production companies
OFF Programme (concerts, parties, thematic evenings, etc�)

Festival Regional Competition
The Festival is opened to all short features of all genres (documentary, experimental, narrative, animated�), filmed by amateurs and students from the region. The entries should be sent to the jury by March 28, 2005. All applicants will be informed about the decision of the qualification jury by April 11, 2005.
