The Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Anti-Fascist Resolution amidst verbal conflicts.

The adoption of this document by the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly was accompanied by heated verbal exchange between the political parties from the BH Federation and the Republic of Srpska. Sulejman Tihic, Member of B&H Presidency, addressed the MPs and the guests of the session, and said that “fascism resurfaced after the WWII in the Bosnian War, but the UN just watched and tolerated it for four years”.
The RS representatives in the House of Peoples commented that Tihic used his speech to get huge political points inside his Party for Democratic Action, and that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have “better fighters for anti-fascism than Tihic”.
The 60th Anniversary of the V-Day (Day of Victory over Fascism) was celebrated all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. The majority of activities involved laying wreaths of fresh flowers on the monuments dedicated to fighters and heroes killed in the WWII and the Bosnian Wars 1992-1995.
In Jajce, the V-Day was celebrated with the opening of the “May Days of Anti-Fascism”, manifestation that will include exhibitions, visits to memorials and monuments and series of round table discussions. The “May Days of Anti-Fascism” will end on May 25.
