Prijedor Continues the Reintegration Efforts

The City of Prijedor

The local government in Prijedor does not intend to stop at the successfully completed process of returt, but will invest equal efforts in the reintegration of returnees, said the President of the Municipal Assembly Azra Pasalic.

Pasalic said that there the municipality of Prijedor has great political environment for successful reintegration, to follow the successful return. She added that the fact that the municipality creates the conditions of foreign investment, designed to reduce the unemployment, are particularly important to the reintegration efforts.

Azra Pasalic will present the Prijedor experiences in the improvement of reintegration, through cooperation of the local authorities and the NGO sector, at the �Good Governance, Return and Reintegration� Conference that started yesterday in Sarajevo, organized by the Danish Refugee Council and the International Centre for Peace.

Representatives of local governments and non-governmental organizations from 13 municipalities in B&H and SCG participate in the Conference, together with representatives of development agencies and international organizations.
