Forum Syd Day � Day of Different Cultures

The Forum Syd non-governmental organization will mark, on Sunday, May 28, the International Day of Different Cultures at the City Park in Skopje. The motto of the celebration, which the organization also celebrates as the �Forum Syd Day�, is The Rainbow is a Multitude of Colours.

Information stands will be an integral part of the manifestation and will present the results that the students of the University Cours on Leadership and Youth Activities Development achieved in the work with groups of young people in several institutions, through a wide variety of activities: creative workshops; publication of school-papers and preparation of radio programmes; production of handcrafts, etc.

Several performances are planned to take place on the �Skolka� (the shell) the open air scene in the City Park, including a workshop in modern dance and performance of a youth dance group from Tetovo.

Two plays will also be performed, discussing the problems of drugs and corruption in education, respectively. The plays were prepared by the groups that participated in the student projects, under the auspices of the University Course on Youth Leadership and Development of Youth Activities in Tetovo.

The organizers also invited several prominent Macedonian pop-stars. The celebration is supported by the Municipality of Karpos and the City of Skopje, and is financed by SIDA, Swedish Development Agency.
