MA in Cultural Policy and Management

University of Arts, Belgrade, Serbia (UNESCO Chair in Cultural policy and Management) and L'Université Lyon - Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Grenoble (Université Pierre Mendès-France) announce the start of the Masters Programme in Cultural Policy and Management (Interculturalism and Mediation in the Balkans)

This postgraduate program, taught in both English and French, has gained an international reputation. Accredited by two French universities and supported by other partner universities, professional organizations and guest experts from all over Europe, it not only attracts students from throughout the Balkan region, but also those students coming from Europe and worldwide who are drawn to challenges and who seek a new and stimulating, as well as exciting and different study environment.

The study program offers courses in: Cultural Management, Cultural Policy, Project Management, Intercultural Art Projects, Law and Economy of Culture, Art Marketing, Human Resource Management as well as numerous elective courses such as: Festival Management, Media Management, Heritage Management, Cultural Tourism, Publishing and Library Management, Museum Management, etc.

The teaching methods involve, beside lectures, learning through project making, research based learning, problem-solving, workshops, small group work, individual and group tutorials, internships in France and in different Balkan countries, and one-week study trip in one Balkan country etc. The courses are accredited in ECTS. The program offers to all non-French speaking students free French language courses (basic and intermediary level).

For this program we welcome 30 students who are highly motivated, energetic, creative, independent and able to develop their own cultural and research projects.

Studies are organized on full-time basis, starting from 1st October 2006 to 1st October 2008. During the 1st year, the program demands full-time stay in Belgrade, from 1st October 2006 to 15th of May 2007.

Tuition fee is 1.200 EUR per year, 2.400 EUR for the entire Program.

Main application deadline is no later than June 1st 2006. Late application deadline is no later than September 1st 2006.
