The conference was opened by Rastislav Vrbensky, Deputy UNDP Representative in Belgrade and Zdenka Milivojevic, President of Argumenta.

The survey aimed, on the basis of research conducted in accordance with Civicus methodology, collect as many relevant information as possible and to offer an empirically based response to questions related to the past development and, in particular, the current level of development of civil sector in Serbia.

The findings should also contribute to a better understanding of perspectives of the civil sector in Serbia, while the use of internationally recognized methodology enables us to compare the development of the domestic sector with the levels present in other countries in the world.
