16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

The CURE Foundation brings the 16 Days Campaign, created and implemented by groups from the whole world in order to increase visibility of violence against women as human rights violation, to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This year, as before, the 16 Days of Activism pack an excellent programme. Interesting street actions (organized in B&H and the region simultaneously) will be organized to mark November 25 – International Day of Prevention of Violence against Women; November 29 – the International Day of Women Human Rights Defenders; and, December 10 – the International Human Rights Day. All interested person may take part in a number o workshops organized under the campaign, discussing breast-cancer, sexual and reproductive health, gender identities, how to recognize violence against women, feminism, self-defence, mobbing... The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence is an international campaign that takes place each year, in the period between November 25 and December 10, to make a symbolic connection between the violence against women and human rights. During the 16 Days Campaign, CURE Foundation will support activities of other organizations, such as the marking of December 1, the International AIDS Day, as well as the activities of other women groups involved in the 16 Days of Activism.
