Overcoming Lacking Youth Information

PRIMUS Representatives announce MIC opening

Easy access to concrete, accurate and, above all, needed information contributes to improved quality of life, increased perspectives for the youth and greater inclusion of the youth in society.
Past research and analyses show that the youth in Macedonia finds it hard to reach the necessary information to the extent that the youth information had to be officially included in the National Youth Strategy, adopted by the Government of Macedonia.
The Youth Information Centre, a new project implemented by the Youth Centre for Education, Tolerance and Democracy PRIMUS, aims to change that situation, i.e. to become the place where the youth will get information in all areas, on all current events of their interest.
YIC will inform the youth about all events and developments in the areas of entertainment, culture, sports, education, NGO activities, youth mobility, employment, volunteering, and prevention and healthcare.
The information will be available on the www.icentar.org.mk, YIC web-site, by phone at 02/3110 913, and in the offices of the Youth Information Centre, located in the Youth Education Centre “Babylon Porta”.
PRIMUS also hopes that the city administration will secure an attractive location for an information board in down-town Skopje, to be used to present the top-billing information for the youth.
Last night, PRIMUS organized a promotional party for YIC and the web-site www.icentar.org.mk, at the Castro Club in Skopje.
