Youth Related Policies in Croatia
The DIM Association for Civic Education and Social Development and the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb organize presentation of the publication Youth Related Policies in the Republic of Croatia: Implementation of Analysis of public policies in the papers prepared by the students of the Faculty of Political Sciences. The presentation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007, at 11:00 hours, at the Hall A of the Faculty.
This publication is a result of the “Analysis of Effects and Development of Public Policies Towards the Youth in Croatia” project, implemented by DIM and the Faculty during academic year 2005/2006. Under this project, the innovative service-learning method was used, for the first time in the country, drawing a relationship between purposeful volunteering and academic learning.
The issue of importance of relations between the academic community and civil society will be discussed by the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Smiljana Leinert-Novosel. The results of the projects will be presented by professor Zdravko Petak, with assistance by a DIM representative. A brief review of the publication will be given by professor Ivan Grdesic, who will speak about the necessity for development of a system for education of policy analysts in Croatia.
