Competition for Enrolment into the Investigative Journalism Programme

The NetNovinar - Centre for Investigative Journalism (founded by the Centre for Investigative Journalism, Zagreb and the Mediacentre Sarajevo), in cooperation with the E-Net Centre from Sarajevo, announces the competition for enrolment of the fifth class of the “Investigative Journalism Programme: Stories on Organized Crime”. Application Deadline expires on January 20, 2007.
Specialize in the field of investigative journalism, through theoretical lessons and practical work on concrete investigative stories. Improve the investigative and writing processes in compliance with the highest professional standards, with constant supervision and mentorship by experts from the region. Improve your internet and database browsing and searching skills. Publish your stories on organized crime. Be a part of the great network of investigative reporters of Southeast Europe www.netnovinar.org/ir. Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will be presented with valid certificates. The Organizers will cover transportation and accommodation costs for all participants that live outside Sarajevo. The five-month programme starts in February 2007. It includes combination of classical trainings/workshops and distance learning methods, which enables the participants to complete the daily obligations in their respective media. The programme is financially supported by the B&H Open Society Fund, and the Swedish Helsinki Committee for Human Rights.
