Eko Opstanak Starts Work on Construction of “Ethno Village”

The President of the Eko Opstanak (Eco Survival) environmental organization, Miodrag Petrovic, confimed today that the construction of the “ethno village” will start in the first half of 2007, in Grabovacka Rijeka, near Kotor Varos.

"The 'ethno village' will have five residential and ten auxiliary buildings, together with a functional water-mill”, said Petrovic.

He emphasized that all objects in the “ethno village” will be constructed according to traditional houses built in this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past. Petrovic added that the village will also have facilities for accommodation of visitors and tourists.

According to Petrovic, “Eko Opstanak” will seek assistance for the implementation of this project from the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Srpska and from Kotor Varos municipal funds.
