MLS Presents Law on Equal Regional Development

In June 2007, the Ministry of Local Self-Government will start a series of presentations of the Law on Equal Regional Development in the eight statistical regions in Macedonia.

The first presentation, for Pelagonija region, will take place in Bitola (the Municipal Hall), on June 6, 2007, at 11:00 hours. The dates for the other presentations per region will be released at a later date.

The presentation will include experts that took part in the preparation of the Draft-Law.

Mayors of municipalities in the Pelagonija planning region, Council members and chairpersons, Members of Parliament, heads of local development sectors, representatives of various chambers of commerce and NGOs active in the region are expected to participate.

The aim is to introduce all the stakeholders with the contents of the Law and its implementation.
