Amendments for Better Higher Education

As a part of its Student Programme and the long fight to increase the quality of higher education in Macedonia, the Youth Education Forum (YEF) submitted its amendments to the Draft-Law on Higher Education to all political parties and independent representatives in the Sobranie (Macedonian Parliament).

The students’ participation in university governance is an important part of the Bologna process. The communiqué on the Ministerial Meeting in Prague, in May 2001, states that the “students are full-fledged members of the academic community” and are entitled to the right to be “competent, active and constructive partners”.

With these reasons in mind, YEF prepared its amendments as a part of its efforts to improve the quality of higher education in the country and increased efficiency of student organizing.
