Survey on Youth Sex-Ed Related Interests

The Stop to Risky Sex Education civic coalition warns the public again about the fact that it remains unclear whether there will be sex education, and what kind of sex education will be provided to students in 2007/2008 academic year.
The Coalition presented the results of the poll on youth’s interests and wishes related to the sex education curriculum. The poll was conducted in 13 cities and towns in Croatia, in March 2007, on a sample of 570 young people (15-21 years of age). The results of the poll show that 93 percent of the polled believe that sex education is necessary and they would want to learn more about protection from unwanted pregnancy and STDs; sexual health and rights; first intercourse; prevention of sexual violence; sexual preferences and identity; sex/gender relations; relationship communication skills; prejudices and stereotypes about men and women. muškarcima (63,7%).
