RIVER SEE, the Regional Integration through Volunteer Exchanges for Reconciliation of South Eastern Europe Programme looks for an enthusiastic person to volunteer for the YOUTH PARTNERSHIP MOVEMENT – PARTNERSKI OMLADINSKI PROGRAM from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Partnerski Omladinski Program (POP) methodologically exists in combining a continuous Intercultural Exchange and Reconciliation Programme involving continuous (minimally two-monthly) singular exchanges, and half-yearly multiple exchanges, of youth from different entities within the former Yugoslavia through a network of grassroots youth self-organisations in Bosnia, Srpska, Croatia and Serbia, with a NGO Development and Counselling Service aimed at youth empowerment and structurally supporting the youth organisations involved. More specifically the project aims at:
Volunteer responsibilities and job description: Volunteer will take up responsibilities in the fields of local and institutional –overall and project specific- fundraising and project reporting; integrating the POP network structure and connecting new initiatives to the program; coaching and supporting rudimentary initiatives to the level of structured applications / organizations; upholding contacts with the donor community, national authorities and mass media; assuring maximum visibility for the project and its outcomes; overall mid-to-long term planning, and generally guarding the continuity, sustainability and relevance of the program and its components. Requested skills Fundraising Project Management Cycle PR Clerical / Office assistance Start of the placement: September 1st 2007, Duration of the placement is 6 months. Managerial support and reporting process Volunteer is to participate at the staff meetings on bi-weekly basis, and he/she is to have working supervisor and mentor from organization’s staff provided. If necessary, volunteer may pass some additional training on the topic covered by his/her placement. Volunteer’s supervisor is going to evaluate his/her work on daily basis and volunteer should present monthly report as other organizational staff. The placement is open for citizens of Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and UNMIK Kosovo older than 18 years.
