Raising of consciousness for International Day of Peace

On behalf of 21st of September, International Day of Peace, the network of peace NGOs ProPeace started a two-day awareness raising campaign all over Kosovo.

The Campaign, which consists of distribution of posters, postcards, leaflets and other PR materials, starts on September 20, with distribution of promo material in a number of towns in Kosovo.

The second day, September 21 is focused on Prishtina/Pristina, where a stand will be set in front of the Youth and Sports Palace for where the materials will be distributed followed by other activities.

Message that ProPeace would like to send with this two-day campaign, is that, Day of Peace should not be celebrated for only one day per year. Therefore, the motto on all the materials that will be distributed is Every Day is Peace Day!

Can we afford that during a whole year we dedicate only 1 day to Peace?
We believe that it is the imperative of time that in Kosovo should be worked and invested a lot more than this! This is the duty of each one of us, and obligation towards the future generations.

Hence, ProPeace is demanding for an increase of civilian voice and efficiency of institutional mechanisms against acts that in one or the other way risk the process of peace-building in Kosovo.

Initiated and supported by Forum Ziviler Friedensdienst (forumZFD), ProPeace Platform was founded in December 2005 and consists of 17 Kosovan NGOs who work in the field of peace-building.
