New Street Action by GROZD

Over 100 volunteers and activists of GROZD will participate in the new street action in 30 cities and municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After they informed the citizens about the illegal practices of spending of public funds by national and entity governments and institutions, as found by audit reports, GROZD starts similar campaign with auditing reports on FB&H Cantons and a number of municipalities in RS. GROZD will distribute over 10,000 brochures with complete auditing reports on national and entity ministries and institutions. After the street action, GROZD intends to start an initiative to determine the responsibility of entity and cantonal parliaments and assemblies, but also of the prosecution authorities that should investigate and sanction cases of illegal spending pointed out by auditing reports. The action has already produced tangible results. The parliaments opened debates on this issue, acting on initiatives presented by competent parliamentary committees. Concrete measures and sanctions are expected, not just in terms of disciplinary measures in the Parliament, but also from the prosecution offices. |
