Workshop with Equal Opportunities Commission in Sveti Nikole

The Akcija Zdruzenska civic association, under its activities for integration of gender equality issues in local development plans and policies, organized a workshop with representatives of Sveti Nikole Municipal administration, on September 18, 2007.
The meeting put emphasis on the legal obligations of municipal Equal Opportunity Commission resulting from the Law on Equal Opportunities for Men and Women and the sanctions and penalties resulting from a failure to implement them. The workshop also presented the seven key assumptions needed for integration of gender equality in municipal policies. The Municipal Council members presented the problems they face in their daily work, with instructions on the work and functioning of the Commission. |
