Democracy in Action Starts Election Monitoring Activities

On Thursday, October 25, Democracy in Action Coalition of ten Kosovo nongovernmental organizations, started its activities for monitoring of the November 17 Parliamentary Elections.
The coalition, led by Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development (KIPRED), will monitor the work of municipal election commissions, political parties’ activities and the campaign coverage in the media. The coalition already received a complaint by the Association of Blind People, since Central Election Commission (CEC) and OSCE Mission in Kosovo mission didn’t secure instruments that would allow them to exercise their voting rights. The Association has warned that it will turn to more radical forms of protest against this decision. This Coalition will cover the whole territory of Kosovo, including Northern Mitrovica and other areas with Serb population. |
