Rule of Law or Rule of Brute Force?

The Macedonian Association for Free Sexual Orientation – MASSO reacted on the proposed framework for solution of the name-dispute between Macedonia and Greece, submitted by UN Mediator Matthew Niemitz.
That proposal means that the UN trampled its own principles, the foundations of the UN Charger, that all peoples have a right to self-determination and self-identification. All countries, nongovernmental and international organizations should raise their voice in defence of the principle that unites all people – the principle of respect and observance of human rights, says MASSO. - The members of the LGBT community around the world are faced daily with situation in which those in majority apply force opposed to the rule of law, demands to change their own identity, to give up on what they are, emphasizes MASSO’s statement for the press. MASSO appeals to all LGBT organizations in the world to protest this absurd proposal for the citizens of one country to give up their name, identity and existence, and to send letters to the UN, to mediator Niemitz, the Government of the Republic of Greece and the other relevant international organizations. |
