Montenegro Celebrated the Universal Children Day

On the occasion of the Universal Children Day, November 20, Forum MNE, in cooperation with NGO Svetionik from Bar, organized a series of events and actions aimed to promote children rights and put emphasis on importance of youth potentials and their greater participation in social life and affairs.
In Podgorica, the Search for Rights action was organized, in cooperation with a number of public institutions, with youth groups from Stara Varos and Multi Cool-t youth clubs visiting those institutions in order to get more information about their rights and the manner of their implementation. The towns of Niksic, Ulcinj and Kotor also hosted a number of activities, distribution of promotional materials on children rights, presentation of winners of literary and arts competitions, questionnaires and workshops. In Kotor, the local business community also joined in, securing discounts of five to ten percent for all customers under 18 years of age. Forum MNE (ex-Forum SYD) is involved, for the past five years, in community development activities through education and youth work, with offices and clubs in Podgorica, Kotor, Ulcinj and Niksic. |
