We Want Implementation, Tear Down the Barriers: Stop Violence Against Women and Girls

The CURE (GALS) Foundation will join the implementation of the 16 days campaign for the fourth year in a row. For 2007, they prepared a series of educational and creative activities.
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence is a global campaign initiated back in 1991, by the Centre for Global Leadership of Women. The dates for the start and end of campaing, November 25 – the International Day of Fight Against Violence against Women, and December 10 – The International Human Rights Day, were selected to make a symbolic connection between gender based violence and human rights. So far, over 2,000 organizations from 154 countries all over the world. The 16 Days of Activism campaign is realized with support by Kvinna till Kvinna, the City of Sarajevo, and in cooperation with United Women, GTZ, Food, Not Bombs Collective and MediaCentre Sarajevo. The 16 Days Campaign is used as organizational strategy by individuals and groups from all parts of the world, demanding elimination of all forms of violence against women through:
