Act Before It Is Too Late

The Woman in Action organization, in cooperation with the Autonomous Women Centre, Women Fund Reconstruction and REX Cultural Centre, prepared a performance that was first presented on November 26, on Belgrade’s Republic Square.

The performance presents part of activities of women NGOs between November 25 and December 10, the 16 days of activism aginst violence against women.
The performance, as previous similar actions, will be presented in 10 cities and towns in Serbia: Užice, November 30; Backa Topola, December 1; Novi Becej, December 1; Novi Sad, December 1; Velika Plana, December 5; Smederevo, December 5; Kruševac, December 7.

Woman in Action is a women nongovernmental organization that promotes and develops policies for emancipation of women and other vulnerable groups in social, economic and cultural life, through change in awareness and views on social problems and aspects of patriarchal culture.

For the fifth year in a row, Woman in Action organizes travelling, socially engaged performances that tour Serbia, in cooperation with local women organization, to raise public awareness about violence against women, promoting different ways to overcome it.

Can you See the Violence against Women?, Why aren’t they with us?, They don’t trust us – Why?, Red Card for Thugs? are several previous socially engaged performances.
