Manual on International Volunteer Service Promoted

On the occasion of December 5 – the International Volunteer Day, the Youth Cultural Centre from Bitola promoted the Manual on International Volunteer Service, part of the series of manuals prepared by the Council of Europe, translated in Macedonian for the first time.

- The Manual is intended to youth organizations and activists. It offers theoretical and practical means that would be of use when training young people in long-term volunteering, says Zlatko Talevski, MKC Bitola Executive Director.

Talevski emphasized that the Manual will be available in electronic version on MKC Bitola web-site, and all civic organizations interested in the manual can contact the Centre.

Ivona Krstevska, Programming Assistant, announced that, in addition to Bitola, the International Volunteer Day will be marked in Delčevo, Kavadarci, Tetovo, Debar and Ohrid.

At the press-conference held yesterday, MKC Bitola also presented the winners of 2007 National Competition for Bronze, Silver and Gold Volunteer Engagement Certificates.
