Vojvodina Assembly to Review the Draft Law on Volunteering

The Office of the Speaker of Vojvodina Provincial Assembly announced that the Assembly will start the procedure for review of the Draft Law on Volunteering later this month, reports the Ukrstanje civic association.
According to announcements, soon after its eventual adoption by the Provincial Assembly, the draft law could enter the procedure in the National Skupština of the Republic of Serbia. The Draft is a result of the Initiative for Legislation on Status of Volunteering in Serbia (IZVoR). The IZVoR working group submitted the Draft to the Parliament in June of this year. Ukrštanje also presented its Local Community and Volunteers – Standar Procedures for Organized Volunteer Work Project, and the Manual for Volunteer Work prepared under the auspices of the project. The Project is fully supported by the Democracy Commission of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, and the publication was suported by the European Centre for Non-Profit Law from Budapest. |
