Call for Participation: CMS Invitation to Help the Returnees

The Centre for Peace Studies from Zagreb currently implements the project for support and assistance to socially excluded people in Western Slavonia, mostly returnees that left the area in 1995.
The assistance includes provision of social, legal, psychological and medical assistance and advice, as well as hands-on work to solve their problem. However, CMS would like to visit the returnees for the coming holidays, with appropriate presents. CMS invites all citizesn to join their action to collect a variety of bare essentials and to bring some joy to returnees in Western Slavonia, who have had little reason for joy and happines over the past years. CMS invites all interested people to contribute – oil, rice, flour, sugar and coffee are deemed most needed, together with blankets and warm clothes for the elderly – to CMS offices (Nazorova 1, Zagreb), by January 5, reminding them that most returnees live without electricity and with minimal or no social assistance. |
