Judge Adamovic Fired

The Disciplinary Commission of the High Judicial Council of B&H declared Vlado Adamovic, Judge of the B&H Court, responsible of behaviour unbecoming a Judge of the highest court in the country and detrimental to his office, and removed him from his position.
Back in March 2007, Adamovic was declared guilty of sexual harassment of 18-year old S. Š., at the workplace in a florist shop in Sarajevo, but was later exhonerated of all responibility by the Chamber of Three of the Cantonal Court. The decision caused a great public uproar and protests in front of the Cantonal Court, organized by Cure Foundation and BH Dani magazine, with demands to put an end to the undeserved immunity from prosecution enjoyed by holders of judicial and political positions of power. The Judicial Council Disciplinary Commission decided taht Adamovic was involved in a serious violation with consequences for the dignity and reputation of judiciary in general, and noted that it was clear that he was unfit to continue holding the possition of Judge at the B&H Court. The Commission especially noted the fact that, during the procedure, Adamovic didn\'t even try to express his true or any other repentance for his actions. |
