EU Shows Trust in BiH

Nikola Špirić, President of BiH Council of Ministers and Pierre Mirel, Western Balkans Director of the General Directorate for EU Expansion, signed the Framework Agreement on rules of implementation of European Commission assistance for BiH, under the IPA (Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance).
Through this agreement, EC will secure 500,000 EUR grant, under the IPA programme, for the period 2007-2011, aimed to assist the process of European integrations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the implementation of necessary reforms. In fact, the BiH House of Representatives adopted two laws on reformes of police force, providing for creations of support agencies to police structure in the country and the creation of independent supervision bodies, including a committee for review of citizens complaints of police abuses of powers. |
