CURE Foundation: March 8 Pitchnik 2008
The CURE Foundation marks the 100th anniversarz of the Interantional Women Day, March 8, in OKC Abrasevic, in Mostar, in a form of whole-day March 8 Pitchnik.
- This International Women Day, we gather in the sunny parts of our country to celebrate the achievements of past generations of women who fought over a whole century, so that we can organize this year`s Pitchnik in Mostar, united with our sisters from Sarajevo and Mostar, Ljubljana and Amsterdam, says the invitation for the Pitchnik.
The issues of feminism and women human rights still faces numerous challenges and threats that women may lose some of theri hard fougth rights and instruments for protection of women and girls in the world. It is important to continue the struggle for improved position and standards of living for women in BiH and the world, says the invitation.
For the March 8 Pitchnik 2008, CURE Foundation has prepared a day-long programme of lectures, debates, workshops and performances (attached to this article, in BHS).
