- Five years later, it is our solemn obligation to remember March 12, 2003, the life and death of Zoran Djindic and the political situation in Serbia after the assassination, says Lingua in a public statement.

Since March 2004, notes Lingva, Serbia has witnessed a resurrection of values prevalent during Milosevic`s era, and the citizens are increasingly aware of the fact that the trial of Djindjic`s killers turns into a travesty of justice for political reasons.

It is tragic for a whole people to lose its hope and will to live a normal life, and that is the biggest crime of Vojislav Kostunica and his radical followers, says Lingva.

Lingva pledges to continue to direct its activities to make a positive impact in terms of spreading of civic activism in Serbia, with the aim to accelerate the suspended process of reforms set by Djindjic, directed at democratization of society and European future for Serbia.

On the occasion of anniversary of the assassination, Lingva organized a debate, on March 10, in Kraljevo, with guest-lecturer appearance by Zoran Zivkovic, the closest Djindjic`a associate and himself a Prime Minister after the assassination. After his lecture to about 100 citizens that gethered at the Lingva Centre, Zivkovic answered questions from the audience and posted on the www.zamislisrbiju.org forum.
