TTK Migrates to FLOSS

Tavolo Trentino con il Kossovo (TTK) with its offices in Pej�/Pec became the first civil society organization in Kosovo to migrate to Linux operative system, through a training conducted by OneWorld Platform Southeast Europe (owpsee) trainers � Jordanka Petrusevska and Sanjin Buzo (April 14-18).

Thirteen persons coming from organizations associated to TTK, including TTK staff, took the extensive hands-on five-day training and migrated to Linux OS. This is the first project of its kind in Kosovo, to include CSO�s in the process of migrating to FLOSS.

As part of the migration, TTK beneficiaries acquired general knowledge on FOSS, Ubuntu, GNOME desktop, OpenOffice, Thunderbird and Firefox. Over the next two months, owpsee will provide beneficiaries with online support for any queries regarding the training conducted.

The Project was implemented with aim to create a module for supporting NGO migration and use of open source as well as to create an online resource with Q&A for NGO staff.
