First International meeting of the International Women`s Network for Solidarity

The first international meeting of the International Women`s Network for Solidarity will be held in Trento, in the prestigious setting of the Festival of Economics, May 28-30, 2008.
During these four days the women will be able to share information and experiences and establish partnerships. There will be workshops where the role of women in development projects and the potential of the partnerships will be discussed, and a conference with the title Presentation of the International Network of Women for International Solidarity. Global partnerships for development. Women’s role will be held. The aim of this first international meeting is to create an important opportunity to meet, share information, discuss the various procedures and create new partnership opportunities to support development projects promoted by female groups. The more the women put their resources at the disposal of the International Women’s Network for Solidarity, and the more they participate directly and promote the project, the greater the utility and the results of the Network. From Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th May the Network will organize workshops where the women can exchange experiences and discuss the issue of gender in development projects and the potential of partnerships and networks. The International Network of Women in Solidarity is a project of the Division for Emigration and International Solidarity of the Autonomous Province of Trento. The Network aims to respond to the needs of women in developing countries by supporting their projects and by being a meeting place where requests for funds can find offers for project financing from governments, organizations or individual donors. |
