Peace Caravan in Prijedor – Chat Report

The first report from the 2008 Peace Caravan arrives from Prijedor, which the Caravan visited on Маy 13, in the form of a chat that Boris Brkan in Prijedor and Darko Brkan in Sarajevo held to be able to inform all those interested in the Caravan and the related events and developments.
The participants were accommodated by the local activists. They cooked their own food, and the catering and cooking in the street actions was provided by Food not bombs. The programme of activities, in the main square in Prijedor, included a street action, followed by a lunch at the Mocvara Centre on Sana River, the second part of the action and a concert. The caravan attracted great interest among the citizens of Prijedor and there were no problems or provocations. From Prijedor, the caravan continued to Pancevo, Serbia, where participants were to celebrate May 15the International Day of Conscientious Objectors, and organize a number of street actions and a concert. |
