Macedonian-Greek Dialogue: Time for Little Sense and Understanding

A group of about 50 leftist anti-militarist and progressive activists from Greece will visit Macedonia on Saturday, May 17, to meet in a joint debate with their Macedonian hosts (Hotel Continental, 13:00 hours).

The debate Macedonian-Greek Dialogue will be dedicated to the the solutions for the problems existing between the two countries, the fight against nationalism and militarism.

`We invite you to take part in an event that can help us fight this irrational situation. Not all Greek citizens are thugs that mistreat the travelers on the Greek roads. Also, not all Macedonians are hotheads who hate all things Greek and just look for an excuse to stone the Greek Liaison Office`, say the Macedonian organizers of the meeting.

The visitors from Greece are activists from the progressive, antimilitarist left, who recognize Macedonian under its constitutional name and promote good neighbourly and human relations.

After the debate, the group will move to the Park of the Women Freedom Fighters, to lay fresh flowers and wreaths on the memorial of the children refugees from Aegean Macedonia, in reminder to where nationalism can take us.
