To organize the Lorenzo Natali Prize, the European Commission works with some of the most prestigious world press associations: Reporters Without Borders, winner of the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Mind in 2005; and World Association of Newspapers, representing a total of more than 18000 publications over the five continents The 15 award winners of the Lorenzo Natali Prize will be the special guests of the European Commission in Europe in November 2008. The European Commissioner Louis Michel will personally give the trophies and prizes to the winners during an exceptional evening in honour of the award winners. The event will take place in France during the 2008 European Development Days, a very high-level political event (www.eudevdays.eu).
