Women and Men: Equal Sharing of Responsibilities Online Discussion

The UN Division for the Advancement of Women invites all interested persons and individuals to take part in the online discussion on Women and men: equal sharing of responsibilities, July 7 to August 1, 2008.

The online discussion will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the issue of equal sharing of responsibilities between women and men, including caregiving in the context of HIV/AIDS, and to identify good practices and strategies required to accelerate gender equality in this regard.

The discussion is part of the preparatory process for the 53rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in 2009. It will provide background information for an Expert Group Meeting organized by the Division for the Advancement of Women on this theme.
