Sarajevo-Srebrenica Ultramarathon

The NVO Marathon organizes the first ultramarathon in Bosnia and Herzegovina, during which two of its runners, Frederic Remon and Erol Mujanović will cover the 140 km track from Sarajevo to Srebrenica.

The Ultramarathon Sarajevo-Srebrenica starts in Sarajevo, on Wednesday, July 9, 19:00 h, and the arrival in Srebrenica is expected on Friday, July 11, around noon.

The running will take about 40 hours to complete (two nights and one day of non-stop running. In fact, having in mind the mountainous terrain and the hot summer weather, the ultramarathon will consist of combination of running and walking, to the very limits of human mind and body.

The organizers invite all interested partners and sponsors to support the ultramarathon. All the proceeds will be invested in organization of sport events all over BiH, as well as promotion of sports and tolerance among the youth.

Over the coming period of time, NGO Marathon intends to organize a series of shorter street races open to all citizens.
