Call for Participation: 2nd International Short and Documentary Film Festival in Srebrenica

The Friends of Srebrenica and Srebrenica Youth Council invite you to participate in the 2nd International Short and Documentary Film Festival `SREBRENA TRAKA`, to be held on October 23-26, 2008, in Srebrenica.

This year`s festival is an open review of films of educational character. It aims to provide support and networking of young film authors; promote visual arts; educate the youth about the importance of film as the most effective visual media for transmission of message; and create positive picture of Srebrenica.

The Festival offers rich and varied programme with film screenings, educational and creative workshops, and evening entertainment programmes. If interested, please read the terms and conditions and fill in the Application Form (attached to this article in BHS language).

The Festival will screen films selected by the selection team, on basis of a set of criteria. Together with the application (in an electronic version), applicants should send at least two screen-shots taken from the film, a personal photo and a CV. The films have to be submitted no later than October 5, 2008. to:

The team of selectors will inform all applicants about the results of the selection process by October 15, 2008. You should note in the application whether you plan to travel to Srebrenica for the festival or if you were only interested for your film to be screened.

The number of participants is limited and the organizers will cover transport costs only for participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, while food and accommodation costs will be covered only to authors of films selected for the programme.
