Chachipe Youth – International Photo Contest

The Open Society Institute (OSI) and the Open Society Archives (OSA) announce the opening of the Chachipe Youth international photo contest. The competition is open to all young people between the ages of 12 and 25.
Chachipe Youth invites young people to express their views on Roma community and their way of life through photography. The contest covers three categories: My street, my surroundings; Colours of my life; What is not good? An international jury will decide the winners. The photos have to be made after 2005, in a country included in the Roma Inclusion Decade: Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Spain. Chachipe Youth contest starts on October 30, 2008, and the final deadline for submissions expires on December 15.
