Stop Organized Crime Rally

ACIPS, Dosta! movement, Akcija Građana (Citizen Action) and Why not associations, invite all citizens of Sarajevo to join them on Friday, November 14, at 13:00 hours in front of the National Theatre Building, in the big rally in support to media and institutions that have openly engaged in the fight against organized crime, giving all of us the hope that rule of law can be established in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The rally was motivated by rising incidence of threats issued on media and prosecution authorities` employees, and the pressure put on them by the organized crime. The organizers invite the citizens to give their support to investigation and prosecution bodies and media in their efforts to prevent and suppress the actions of organized crime in the country and establishe the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Some media and public personalities have bravely joined the fight against organized crime, stirring up the deafening silence that usually surround the crime which is protected by official state structures. There efforts, however, will be in vain if you, the citizens, keep your silence. There families are under threat, their security is jeopardized, they are exposed to threats by thuggish criminals and corrupt officials who want to prevent the process of decriminalisation of society – say the organizers in a public statement to the citizens.

The organizers of the rally invite all political parties and institutions of the state to publicly support the efforts to eradicate organized crime in BiH.

- We demand that security services and the media involved in this fight to be relieved from political pressure and threats and to provide for their personal security and proper working conditions – says the public invitation to the rally.
