Our editorial strategy

OneWorld SEE working with its partners and/or directly will focus its eye on:
  • Global issues linked to regional and local perspective, such as protecting the environment, and EU accession process
  • News and perspectives from or about countries-areas/issues not reflected in the traditional media
  • Programs showcasing successful efforts to overcome development challenges
  • Policy debate on issues that affect the future of local and regional development.
  • OW south East Europe stresses quality content that provides the reader with background, context, information about on-the-ground realities, and, whenever possible, with ideas about actions or policy alternatives that could have a positive impact on a given situation.
  • OW SEE seeks to offer substantive coverage that educates and engages the public. We focus on alternative perspectives, particularly from the region and the voiceless and want to avoid the sporadic, crisis-driven approach to regional and local affairs that dominates the major media.
  • Information is reliable and accurate. To maintain the trust of our readers and be accountable to them, the news and views reflected in OWSEE should meet basic standards of journalistic integrity. News items should be based on fact and present a fair and comprehensive account of events or issues; analysis and opinion pieces must be clearly labeled or recognizable as such.
