CRIC (Centro Regionale di Intervento per la Cooperazione) is a development and relief NGO acknowledged by Italian Government (Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Italian Low for International Co-operation n.49/87) and European Union. It has been working since 1984 within development programs in Africa, Latin America, Middle East, Balkans and Southern Italy. Since 1993 CRIC has been working in the field of Humanitarian and relief Aid as an implementing partner of ECHO (FPA signed in 1993 n.37) and United Nations Agencies.
C.R.I.C. works to reinforce and spread all expression of political liberation. It promotes social and economic emancipation among the developing peoples in the South through NGOs, associations and social groups. It works for the recognition of peoples’ right to exist. It contributes in the search for democratic ways to bring about the recovery and development of populations affected by natural disasters or conflicts. It aims at heightening the public awareness of problems resulting from economic differences between North and South. It facilitates and promotes the exchange of ideas and experiences between Southern World, Italian and European NGOs.
