Goals: The Vision of "GRuPa" is to contribute to Pancevo's becoming a town with the highest civil culture possible, serving as a model recognized and respected throughout the region. "GRuPa" will achieve this by attaining an impressive capacity to thoroughly analyze the local society and assist local authorities in developing the most appropriate reactions and programs to meet the needs and opportunities that have been singled out. It will be a place of agreement and response and, above all, enormous enthusiasm, attracting an ever-larger number of associates to carry out its activities.
Activities:
- SEE PEACE Project: networking between Peace studies in Southeastern Europe.
- Educational program ?Summer School 100xBetter!? for 100 youths from Pancevo area was based on nonviolent communication, team cooperation, human rights and environment protection.
- ?Center for civil disobedience and nonviolent action? to secure legal and humanitarian assistance to public employees during the October 2000 electoral crisis
- ?Time-machine of human rights? Project:promotion of human rights through public manifestations, researches and a seminar for lawyers and law students.
- ?SO2 Pancevo? Project: large-scale campaign to lobby against creation of new polluters in Pancevo.
- ?City to City? Project: in partnership with Italian Consortium of Solidarity to support decentralized cooperation between local communities in Yugoslav cities and Italian local entities.
