Organisation's issues: ZaMirNET is an informational and educational Internet workshop that creates and provides contents relevant for civil society stakeholders. ZamirNET maintains free information exchange between different interest groups and individuals dedicated to the values of non-violence implemented through principles of empowerment, active acceptance of differences, solidarity and collaboration.
Goals:
- to enable co-operation among NGOs in Croatia and the region by providing technical resources and new technologies (ICT)
- to advance human rights and women�s rights - to promote social and economic rights - to foster the development of participatory democracy - to actively initiate changes within society in accordance with the values of non-violence - to ensure inclusion of all disempowered and marginalised groups into society - to promote the culture of philanthropy and volunteerism
Activities: providing Internet access and information on the Web; supporting non-profit users by provision of web design and telephone and on-line technical support; organising e-conferences; maintenance of news groups and mailing lists; data bases; electronic newspaper ZaMirZine; archive of civic initiatives; providing logistics for and initiating civic campaigns and actions; on-line education and training; management for non-profit organizations; volunteer�s management; advocacy of human rights; basic Internet and computing skills,strategic use of Internet; web design training (on site); multimedia production; hosting non-formal groups and projects such as Because Press (a lesbian publishing project), Union 47 (consciousness objectors), ZAP (Zagreb Anarchist Movement), Moj glas za pravnu dr�avu (My Voice for the Rule of Law), Volunteers� Center and many, many others.
