Albert Einstein, Project for Establishment of Legal Framework of Voluntarism - SEEYN
In 2004, the SEE Youth Network – SEEYN shall start with the implementation of the new project titled “Albert Einstein”, which has the goal to place voluntarism into the legal framework of the countries of Southeast Europe and to establish a volunteer visa regime. The ultimate goal of the project is to strengthen the mobility of youth through increase in volunteer campaigns, in order to secure peace and stability in the region.
Over the ten months of implementation, the project plans the following activities:

Survey, to be conducted by UNV-UNDP and BHRN

Competition for production of a documentary on Voluntarism and its advantages

Grants for small promotion campaigns

Conference on youth voluntarism
Target groups of the campaign are:
-
State and local governments in SEE countries (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Albania, Bulgaria and Macedonia)
-
NGOs that work in the field of voluntarism and voluntary work
-
Youth in Southeast Europe between 18 and 25 years of age

Media
-
Institutions that encounter voluntarism and voluntary activities in their work
In Bosnia, the Project will be implemented by OKC-Youth Communication Centre from Banja Luka and the Youth Information Agency of B&H.
In the other countries of SEE, the Project is implemented by Volunteer Centre Zagreb, the Young Researchers of Serbia, ADP Zid (Montenegro), Albanian Youth Council, Youth Forum OKO (Macedonia), Pro-Democracy Association Club Constanza (Romania), Balkan Youth Club (Bulgaria). In addition to these organization, UNV-UNDP and the Balkan Human Rights Network also participate in the project and will work on the survey of needs and opportunities.
