Together for Culture Project

“Don” NGO from Prijedor started the “Together for Culture” Project. The goal of the project is to facilitate the preparation of the Culture Development Strategy for Prijedor, for 2004-2005. The Project is supported by the European Cultural Foundation from Amsterdam, and it is expected to get the support from the Prijedor Municipality.
Danijel Crnic, Project Manager, believes that this is a good and useful project and emphasized: “We offer, in this project, a possibility for development of cultural institutions, both in the urban and rural areas of our Municipality.” According to “Don”, Prijedor is the only city in B&H that offered a project for development of cultural activities. The operational strategy plans the development of amateur cultural and arts ensembles and societies, as well as mechanisms for design and preparation of cultural activities. The process of preparation lasted from June to December 2003, and involved representatives of cultural institutions, local government and independent authors. In “Don”, they are convinced that this is a good indication of the future development of cultural institutions. |
